lovely, traditional hotel with pretty decor and cozy rooms. loved the chandelier and the christmas vibe everywhere. breakfast was yummy and they had great choices, especially the cooked stuff. location is perfect, just a few mins walk to the town center. also, free and safe parking was a big plus!
the room was a bit too warm and we had trouble cooling it down. also, the restaurant had a big hole in the ceiling that was just covered with a sheet, which was kinda off-putting.

I adored the elegant décor throughout the hotel, especially the cozy lounge area where I could easily relax and enjoy my tea while listening to delightful piano music. The staff were exceptionally attentive, making me feel welcomed and cared for.
A few areas could benefit from refreshing.

Free underground parking, unique room features, on-site recreation facilities
The lift is painfully slow and has operational issues!!! The decor is tired and clearly in need of a refresh!!! Noise from surroundings is distracting and the bathrooms weren't very clean!!!

Free underground parking right around the corner, locked overnight for added security. The lounge area feels cozy with a well-stocked bar, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.
The bathroom’s decor could stand a serious upgrade. it's more budget hotel than what you'd expect for the price. Heating was stuck on full blast, making the room uncomfortably warm at night. Dust bunnies in the corners suggest cleaning could be more frequent. The carpet in common areas is threadbare, which might trip some guests up. Breakfast? Let’s just say the poached eggs left a lot to be desired, not to mention the bland sausages. It's clear the food quality has room for improvement.

Had a smashing time with a fab selection for breakfast and didn’t miss out on the local delights at nearby joints like Il Piatto and Cafe Fish. Plus, the comfy beds in our Classic Twin Room kept us snoozing throughout the night!
Our room was small and felt a bit cramped, a struggle to stash our suitcase. Plus, getting a hold of the hotel was a chore. took ages to nail down our meal reservations.

Great Stay with Some Room for Improvement
Despite a small room that felt cramped during the hot weather, our experience was uplifting thanks to the friendly staff at the restaurant. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, with attentive service that made me feel welcomed. I'd recommend requesting a larger room for a more comfortable stay.

good stay but needs minor improvements
The superking double room was spacious, allowing us to spread out comfortably. We were pleasantly surprised by the impressive breakfast selection available every morning.
The check-in process felt a bit slow, which was slightly frustrating after our long journey.

The downstairs area possesses a beautiful ambiance, perfect for chilly days. the room experience fell short. noise from above disrupted sleep, and the pillows were almost nonexistent. The outdated room had creaky bathroom floorboards and needed a refresh. Cleanliness was a plus, but the lift posed concerns after getting stuck briefly.

central stay near parks and charming attractions
I loved that I could easily stroll to Peasholm Park, which is just a few minutes away, and enjoy its lush gardens. The proximity to the Scarborough Maritime Heritage Centre meant I could dive into local history without any hassle. breakfast was perfect, with a delightful presentation that kicked off my day on a high note. As a solo traveler, I appreciated how the staff made me feel comfortable and well taken care of throughout my two-nights stay.
